Illustrative render of a proposed full-size grass football pitch with correct markings, goals and floodlighting

Masterplan

Football at White Rose

Two of the four proposed full-size grass pitches are laid out for football, supported by the strength and conditioning hall, physiotherapy, recovery and the analysis suite inside the building.

The pitches

Two full-size grass football pitches

Correctly marked, floodlit and directly connected to the athlete spine — no stadium, no grandstands, no spectator seating.

Football is one half of the proposed sporting programme. Two full-size grass pitches are laid out with correct markings, goals and floodlighting, positioned so that squads move from changing to warm-up to pitch without crossing public circulation.

The intention is that a player can complete a full week — technical work, conditioning, testing, analysis, treatment and recovery — on one site in Hull and East Yorkshire, rather than assembling it across several venues and long drives.

Training and play are for women and girls. Coaches, practitioners, officials and support staff work across the programme, and families and spectators are served by the café, restaurant and rooftop club.

Pathway

From first session to first contract

The football programme is designed as a continuous pathway rather than a set of unconnected offers.

  1. Stage 1

    Grassroots and schools

Curricular and after-school sessions, holiday camps and club nights using the pitches and the education suite, aimed at keeping girls in the game through the teenage years when most drop out.

  2. Stage 2

    Academy pathway

A structured development programme with coaching, strength and conditioning, analysis and medical support in one place, so that talented players are not asked to travel out of the region for it.

  3. Stage 3

    Elite and club use

Training weeks, camps and pre-season blocks for clubs, county and representative squads, with pitches, gym, analysis and catering booked as a single package.

The player-development model, including development agreements and the proposed 20 per cent sell-on entitlement, is set out in full on the commercial opportunities page.

Clubs, coaches and football partners

Conversations are open with clubs, county associations, schools and colleges who would use the pitches and the performance support around them.
