The Founders’ Wall
Be part of the Institute’s history
The Founders’ Wall is proposed as a built element of the entrance atrium rather than a sign hung upon it: engraved brass and timber plaques on a matte black fluted wall, washed in violet light, recording everyone who helped make the Institute real.
The idea
Recognition designed as architecture
Donor recognition is usually an afterthought. Here it is part of the brief. The wall is set into the double-height atrium on the route everyone takes, in the same material language as the building itself, and it is designed from the outset to be added to over decades.

Digital display
Names on the wall, stories on the screen
A complementary digital display allows founders’ names, contributions and reasons for giving to be presented in more depth, updated over time and searched by visitors — without ever crowding the physical wall.
Philanthropy is not investment
Founders’ Wall contributions are philanthropic gifts. They confer recognition and invitations, not equity, ownership, dividends, control or any financial return. Commercial participation is handled separately through the partnership and sponsorship programme.
