Ground floor
Recovery & Physiotherapy
Clinical care and recovery alongside the training floor: treatment rooms, a medical room, a rehabilitation gym and a compact recovery suite specified for performance benefit rather than leisure.
Recovery suite
Deliberately compact, deliberately useful
No swimming pool is proposed. The capital and running costs are disproportionate to the benefit, and the space is better invested in training, treatment and recovery.
The recovery suite is built around sauna and heat provision, hot and cold immersion, contrast bathing, compression recovery and massage — the interventions athletes actually use between sessions.
Recovery memberships and add-on packages are proposed alongside gym membership, so that the suite serves both the performance programme and the wider community during quieter parts of the day.
It sits within a few steps of the women’s gym, the strength and conditioning hall and the changing rooms, which is what makes routine use realistic rather than aspirational.
What is proposed
- Sauna and heat provision
- Hot and cold immersion and contrast bathing
- Compression recovery and massage
- Recovery memberships and add-on packages
- No swimming pool

Sports medicine
Physiotherapy and rehabilitation
Physiotherapy is proposed with its own reception and identity, positioned between the treatment area and the strength and conditioning hall.
Rehabilitation, reconditioning and return-to-play work happen in the same building as the training that caused the injury, with the medical and conditioning teams working from the same information.
- Four treatment rooms and a medical room
- Rehabilitation gym and reconditioning space
- Sports medicine, screening and injury prevention
- Open to academy athletes, members and referred patients

Healthcare and clinical partners
Physiotherapy, sports medicine and rehabilitation are areas where the Institute expects to work with established clinical operators and referral partners.
